Also, Horita is going to distribute a new product in June which will be
a perfect for Flyer time code support. It's called the PR-232, it's a
mini time code-to-RS232 reader (2"x3"x0.5") and will do just what Flyer
users need: reads LTC time code and convert it to RS232 serial data.
The list price is $179. It also comes with PC comm port cable, DB9-DB25
serial port adaptor. To be notify when available, call Horita at
714-489-0240.

I had a little chat with Tim Jenison at NAB about the choice of RS232
for time code data instead of RS422. He mentioned that it was much
easier to convert RS422 into RS232 than the opposite and also that
RS232 is much more versatile and will offer more serial control options
for 3rd party software/hardware.  He also said that the new Toaster for
Windows card would be able to read VITC time code or may be that's with
the Flyer add-on TBC, I don't remember exactly.
